Elaine Coleman is an award winning author. She has published Texas Haunted Forts, Louisiana Haunted Forts, Fat Fannies Fudge Factory, Wolf's Desire, The Gamble, Carl Hall: I Did it my Way, Walt Rambo, Texas Style Bits and Spurs and Tricks, Stunts and Imposters. She wrote two family cookbooks and one for her church.
Elaine worked as editor for two independent West Texas newspapers in the 90s, in which she had her own cooking and fishing columns. She has been published in Reminisce magazine in the fall of 2008 in the Little House Out Back column. She owned and operated a café of eight years where she gathered information for a book she is currently working on.
Mrs. Coleman belongs to the Pecan Valley Genealogy Club in Brownwood, Texas where she researches for fun and writing. She speaks at various organizations in the surrounding area.
Living in and around Taylor and Runnels Counties in Texas all her life, Elaine is proud of the fact that she is a sixth generation Texan.
Elaine and her husband Jerry live on the family farm near Winters, Texas with three dogs, an old barrel racing horse and sixty or so mother cows. Besides writing and reading, Elaine enjoys puttering in her garden, quilting, crafting, and working with her husband raising cattle. She also enjoys visits from her children and grandchildren.
